Before the time of Pinterest & Google, patterns for new little creations, were sourced from our imagination, or from well used pattern books, picked up from Book stores or Fetes!
It was on one such occasion, that i was flicking through, searching for some inspiration for a new soft toy, that ‘Mamma Bear’ appeared! It was the name of a gorgeous little Bear, handmade in an array of patchwork fabrics, very fitting for my little stash. Not only was the toy delightful, but the name caught my attention immediately!
My Mum, fondly known as ‘Mama’ to her Grandchildren, what could be more apt, for a name for my new little business! Mama taught me to sew, and continues to be a wonderful source of encouragement, inspiration, and always the first to see & critique our new creations!
Our business name: Mama Bear was made official in 2012. x
